Hey Folks,
I am offering this Res-Tac Hawk at a reduced price for the Christmas season. This 11.5" OAL hawk is made from .375" 4140. The entire axe has been fully hardened to Rc. 55 in my shop. It was then triple tempered. After this the tapered tang was torch drawn to a spring temper three times to insure a resilient "indestructible" handle. The slabs are of natural canvas micarta left with a 120grit finish giving them a very grippy feel. The top notch is intended as a gas shutoff notch for firemen personal carry. The bottom notch is for can opening actions. The black kydex sheath is felt lined to protect the finish and for silent removal and carry. The axe was given a triple etched primeval finish to aid in rust prevention.
