Rescue Knife suggestions?

Best rescue knife?
Trauma shears, and a second par of trauma shears.

+1.

I'd go trauma shears and a multi-tool. Add any knife you like and you have all your bases covered. I've been sporting a sodbuster the last couple of months.

Trauma shears and a multi-tool would be my choice as well. Of the knives listed I would go with the byrd, but you can get a similar blade shape (serrated sheepsfoot) in a multi-tool...

Be careful out there, pulling a big knife out in front of a patient could freak them out. ;)

For me its not so much for them, but rather if I got caught up in something and needed to cut free. We do water rescues and stuff, and all it takes is for you to get caught in a line and things can go bad quick!

get yourself a fixed blade dive knife. check them out on some of the scuba gear websites. they come with a sheathe also.

Bought, tried, and returned the Leatherman Raptor. Avoid it. Way too heavy and difficult to clean.

The Kershaw looks like a nice low-cost option, but where's the O2 wrench?

Start packing a lunch, lose the car for a bicycle, and get rid of cable.
In no time you will have saved up enough for an Emerson SARK.

If you can go $35 shipped, you can pick up one of the older styled Victorinox Fireman knives. It has a locking main blade, a saw and a seatbelt cutter. Other tools too. The one-hand opening model costs more.
