Seeking how too knowledge on knife making, please recommend some books, video, magazines, web sites, etc. to help me out. I just visited the Gallery and was blown away by the talent represented there.:thumbup:

Yeah, the newbie's thread which is stickied to the top of this forum has tons of information in it. Also, use google to search for topics by typing your query followed by site:bladeforums.com. You'll find several threads on great books and a ton of other information.

edited to add: it may be helpful to update your profile with more information about your regional location. There may be several makers within a short distance of you, if not right next door that would be willing to have you over to their shops to learn hands on.

Thank-you for all the help guys, I have seen the $50. Book listing but was not sure if it was any good, Thanks for the web site suggestions, and I am enjoying this site but I do not know my way around it yet, I will attempt an update on my profile, some of the tecno lingo and terms go over my head,and finally thanks for the welcome to the insanity quote-sanity is overrated---Steve
