RESOLVED---Vivid Blades...two months, no knife, no refund, no email/call...what's up?

---Seller resolved issue on 12/10/2013 with full refund.---


I purchased a Benchmade 746 from Vivid Blades via THIS thread and paid via PayPal on September 16, 2013. I still not have received the knife (or a refund) as of November 9th.


After payment, two weeks went by without a package or an email. I sent him an email on October 1 asking if he sent the package. The answer was no. He explained he was out of town and his wife was handling shipping.

On October 12 I sent him an email asking if the item had been shipped. His response on October 14 was no. He explained he was still away and did not have access to internet. He also said that, "if you do not receive the knife I will refund the amount back to you this week."

That was the last email I heard from him. I have contacted him via email and PayPal asking for either the knife or a refund. I have not gotten the knife, a refund, or even an email, text, or call.




It is November 9th. The seller has had my money for almost two months. The listing said nothing about it taking an extended time to ship. I understand people sometimes have personal issues that come up, but when that happens there should be communication. I have gotten almost zero communication...and I have no idea what the status of this is. I, as the buyer, should not be the one having to initiate all communication when the delay is due to the seller...the seller should send me an email as an update. I don't know what the circumstances are for the seller, but I feel this has not been fair to me as the buyer because two months into the transaction I have no idea what is going on...

If a refund is committed to, it seems fair that it should be honored in the time period stated. I absolutely HATE being the jerk to post bad feedback but I am not sure what else to do. I don't want to leave someone negative feedback on the trade score which cannot be redacted, so hopefully this thread may catch the attention of someone who knows how to contact the seller or why this is occurring.

I will gladly accept either the knife or a refund...the seller can choose. But I would like a resolution to this which will move at a faster pace than the transaction has thus far, please.

When you say you contacted him via paypal what do you mean, did you open up a claim or was this past the 45 day window? What was your method of payment when using paypal? If you paid through purchase of goods and used a debit/credit card linked to your paypal account, then you should be able to do a charge back through your bank/credit card company.
 
The second post in that thread was an "I'll take it" from someone else within three hours of the listing.

Contact him. Did this knife get 'sold' twice?

Vivid blade mentions his occupation as "Apple" and also techy stuff. If you email me his name (your PayPal receipt should have it), I can run it by my buddies in Apple to see if we get a hit. My email is choombak at gmail dot com (I could not PM you since you are a registered member, PM is avl for gold and above).
 
You are a very patient guy pnsxyr, I hope you get that knife soon.

Please do the right thing Vivid Blades! In my opinion that would be more than just getting the knife shipped ASAP, maybe a partial refund or some other gesture of apology for leaving pnsxyr hanging for almost 2 months.

Just got off the phone with pnsxyr making sure refund is sent out. Things just got a little crazy since new job and separation with wife and lost track I will make this right.
 
I spoke to the seller two weeks ago. Refund/delivery of the knife is still pending.

Thank you for sending the message for me as the account level I have would not allow me to PM...I'll be purchasing a paid membership shortly.
 
:( damn doesn't look good. I would get your money back from paypal. He may have spent your money, but they will close his paypal account if he has nothing, and then he cant do this again at least.
 
Refund is still pending. I will update the status when (if) it changes.

You are a very patient man. I appreciate your example of being patient and understanding--something the world lacks. That being said, I hope the seller does the right thing and sends you your money back QUICK!

This one act of integrity will define you for a long long time. Why destroy your credibility over a knife. Heck, if you desperately needed a knife I would have gifted you one. There is never a good reason to steal from other members of BFC........................ever
 
On 12/5, the seller told me he would pay me via PayPal to invoice him. The invoice was sent. The seller responded via email that he could not use his card for payment and asked the invoice be resent. It was sent on 12/5 as well. Refund is still pending. A reminder of the invoice and email was sent.
