Respect 8 inch blade

Only 10.5".

Words can't really express how excited I am for this.

That Spyderco Lum Dao fixed blade is beyond amazing. I think they were only being produced in very limited numbers.

Haven't seen any yet myself. I guess the Respect will be a regular production for a while, so if I miss the Darn Dao, I'll just get two Respects maybe.

I'm waiting on an A2 anniversary Busse TG... Maybe I sell it and get this instead.

Then buy a waved Spyderco locking tactical and a spyderco slipjoint. Have a complete EDC.

Seems kind of and odd knife imo for spyderco to make. Borderline ridiculous spine thickness and stainless steel instead of carbon in such a large blade not too mention a very high price.

Thick stock, but not thick blade with a FFG and distal taper.
Expensive, but not as bad as some blades out there, and very reasonable compared to most for the quality it will likely be.

.30” in a FFG with distal taper will make a sweet camp knife or pocket axe. I have a .33” Regulator that is a surprisingly effective slicer.
The Reg is my “go to” camp knife, I might order a respect just to get something similar and stainless.
There is no mention but will this be a limited run?

Hi Freedom Pullo,

Not planned as a Sprint, but due to the high cost, I don't expect it to be a big seller so quantity built will depend on demand. Like the Darn Dao, We felt we could do a good job making these knives for those that would be interested in owning one. I wanted one for me.

Sal, I'm very glad you're making these. I think I'm probably not the only one who's looked at a knife someplace and thought "I wish Spyderco would make one of these..." but never thought we'd actually see it. Loving the fixed blade additions to the line in the last couple years. Big fixed blades was a missing thing fthat I'm glad you're filling.

EDIT: I think the Respect would have also been awesome as a guardless bowie- just cut the ricasso and the double guard entirely out.
