Respirator/Eye Protection Fitment Problem

I'm having a heck of a time finding eye protection that fits while wearing a respirator. In addition, I wear prescription glasses, which compounds the fitment issues I'm having.

The respirator I have is the AO Safety QuickLatch Pro, and I've tried all sorts of safety glasses/goggles. I finally found a pair of goggles that can be worn with the prescription glasses and be tolerable; but it doesn't fit worth a crap with the respirator.

Anyone have any advice, or recommend a different respirator or safety goggle?

I have a couple of full face that work with my glasses, whats the issue?? I think the top straps on mine are back toward the back of my head which keeps them off my glasses and the nose fits under.

I have been using a resperator at work for many years and my just be used to it. I can check the maker on mine when I get home.

I use a full face mask. Try Harbor Freight. They have full face shields with a hinge like a welder's mask.

I wear perscription glasses allso and have tryed many tyes of sheilds & respirators.I now use the the 3M 7800S-M full face w/ P100 cartridge filters. It's a combo unit, that is a full face sheild. It takes awhile to get use to,but it works great. It was given to me by a freind so I don't know what the cost is. Hope this helps. Tom:thumbup:

That 3M 7800 is kinda expensive - like around $180 - depending on where you get it, very nice though. I wear a 7500 half face with a full face shield. I do not wear glasses so I dunno how the fitment would be.

Thanks for the info. I used one of the Harbor Freight face shields today, and it worked much better.

This may sound goofy, but I'm going to use my chainsaw helmet. It's actually comfortable, has built-in hearing protection and a mesh face shield. I emailed Sthil and there is a polyethylene face shield available for that helmet.

You beat me to it.
The "Hear of the Household" style helmet, face shield, aural protection combos are a good choice for many. They allow plenty of room for the respirator, and for glasses.
