Respirator Recommendations

I'm looking for a respirator for knife making. I would like to work with G-10 and carbon fiber, so I need something that filters out glass particles. Also, I want it to have a full-face mask and be under $300 . Any recommendations? Thanks for your help!

Look at North Safety and 3M

keeping a full face mask cheap is not easy

Go for the silicone face, it's softer and fits well


go for P100 filters, snap over prefilters also help with life

go for combo p100 and Organic Vapor, to have some chemincl protection too.

That mask is a hot sweaty Darth Vader experience,
If you have the money for it, look into the powered full face positive pressure masks.

^^ This is great advice. I use a 3m 7900 with p100 filters for most stuff that involves grinding/dust, and it's fantastic. Do make sure whatever you get fits extremely well (it is worth paying a bit more to try them on in person and make sure there are no air gaps). A 3m 7900 with filters can be had for about $120. Positive pressure masks typically exceed your budget, but that is definitely a safer way to go if you're worried about breathing dust.
