Respirators

Hey Guys, What is the best kind of respirator to buy for grinding both steel and wood?

Thanks in advance
Eric

I use one that comes from Dunn Edwards paint store. It is orange and is very comfortable. Conforms well and WORKS. cost is about $25. but well worth it. I Keep it stored in a zip lock bag.

I work in an area that requires the use of a respirator so I have worn alot of different kinds. My personal favorite is made by North. It has a silicon face piece which is far more comfortable than any of the rubber ones that I have worn. MSA also makes a very comfortable disposable. At very minimium, you need a good respirator with dust cartridges, not a dust mask, it would be prefered to have one with organic vapor/dust cartridges. These cartriges are quite a bit bulkier but offer superior protection. Hope this helps some.

Thanx guys,
I'm going out tonite and investing in a good respirator with cartriges. I think me (and my nasal passages) have learned our lesson- only the best will do!!!
