Sorry guys if this has come up before or even if I have asked it before I can't remember (been a long life if you know what I mean).

I wear glasses and can't seem to get a respirator set up that dosen't smash them into my face causing th sweat and oil to get on them making me constantly stop grinding to see my work ORthe nazel part lets air out under my glasses and fogs things up. Anyone have a tried and true model for eye glass wearers I have access to a supply house and can order just about any type but trial and error can get expensive.

A good quality, silicone 1/2 face unit can be worn with glasses (I wear glasses). A full face, positive pressure unit is a lot more expensive, but is great with glasses (but, they don't filter organics, just particulate). An outside air source full face unit is the max for safety and air quality. They can be a bit cumbersome if not a good quality unit.

I wear a Trend Airshield self contained hood. I made up a battery pack with rechargeable Metal Hydride D cells that I drop in my back pocket. The switch is in the cord that goes up my back. It will run for 20 or more hours of continuous use before I have to change to a new set of batteries.

Thanks Stacey do you have a source for this respirator on the net and would you mind posting a pic??

I use a full face respirator from 3M. Basically the same design for the respirator part as their regular double cartridge 3M respirator but with the eye protection built in. Works very well. They sell and organic cartridge which is what I use.

I've had it now for about four years without a problem. Can't recall where I got it, sorry.
