Resting your 1000$ + knife?

I've heard from many knife enthusiasts that they like to keep the expansive knives of their collection in the safe and use them to bare minimum and use some cheaper knives to perform day to day knifing tasks.why not stretch that 1000$+ beauty's legs ? I'am sure it can take a beating or two. Share your thoughts

I take mine out to fancier occasions when i am not in jeans , and not likely to need it. Never to picnic type affairs. They are knives and have all cut something at least once.

Many of us carry around $1,000+ knives everyday.

I don't even own a 1000+ knife... Hell.... I don't even own a 200+ knife! The most expensive one I have (all users) is a Spyderco Orange Military... And that's about it.

I routinley carry my MSC SJ75 its a monster of an EDC knife with its asymmetric grind.
