Hi all,
I need some help. I have a vintage 1970’s Italian stiletto that I would like to restore. It is completely apart. I do have all the parts except the pins/rivets. What should I use for the pins/rivets that hold it together? I also need the pivot pin for the blade. Thanks.

Brass rod is available at hobby shops.
Pivot pins can be made from common nails.
The pins must fit the holes snugly. Use oversize stock and file it to fit by chucking it in a drill.

You can buy brass rods and steel rods at Jantz Supply.
I would make my own steel pivot as Bill suggested.

Thanks for the suggestions. Is there a tool like a die or something that can peen the rod to make it look good?

Italian pin heads are traditionally peened with a hammer, then buffed smooth.
