Retired from Day job / now a full time knife maker

Awesome buddy!
I look forward to seeing what you do with all your free time! ;)

Hi Bing,

That's great, congratulations!

You need a web presence so people know what you are up to. I just typed "Bruce Bingenheimer Knives" into my search engine and got some pretty pics, but no information about what you are currently doing, or how I can order.

This should have been taken care of BEFORE you retired. If you want to run a business in knifemaking these days, you need to treat it like a business.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with....I'd like to place an order!:D

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

you really shouldn't sugar coat your opinions so much, Steven. How is anyone going to know what you really think?

congrats! that's great, you are my hero :-)
let's see, I 'll be 48 Friday so that's 27 professional years working for me,
but if I lost my job today, I would welcome the opportunity to give knife-making a go fulltime.

best wishes

I have it on good authority that his new boss can be kind of cranky and irritable....especially if he doesn't have his coffee. :D ;)

Congrats buddy! I think you'll enjoy it.

Congrats Bing!! now you get to work even harder for more hours... ;)

More hours AND less pay! :D

More responsibility, more stress, more work, more hours, WAY less money.......I mean, who WOULDN'T want to be a full time knife maker??? ;) :)

Certain things in life, and with knives, are impossible to accomplish. Bing sold me a new four figure brass folder. No one EVER buys a knife with brass. And everyone wants to buy that folder from me, which will never be for sale. Ergo, Bing can do the impossible. When it comes to artistic merit in folders, I rate him EASILY in the top 10% of folder makers.

Congrats on taking the leap, buddy!
