I have a weakness for European knives and the Opinel is one. But one of my favorites is my small Sardinian Resolza. It keeps sneaking onto my pocket on a regular basis, especially of there is going to be fishing involved or kitchen work involving fish or meat processing.

Here isis with a a dozen fresh Sardines to be cleaned. A local fsh market has them flown in every Wednesday.

My NON*XLL Bowie is my favorite traditional. Over 100 years old, they are great knives. I get it out for special occasions. I'm in thanks for the chance!

Welcome back  Not an entry, but just wanted to say thanks for the giveaway, and to wish everyuone entering good luck

I am in and my picture is of my Opinel Effiles. The only 15 I have is a beechwood one. The user of the group is the smallest one (an 8) that is used daily as a letter opener.

I'd like to get in on this one as well! I've never owned an Opinel, but have recently been curious to see what all the praise is about :D
I know acrylics aren't for everyone, but my current favorite traditional is my #22 magnum gunstock in sea glass acrylic.
I carry it pretty much everyday, and it's got a very nice patina going on both blades.

When the #22 isn't in my pocket I'm carrying my second favorite, a #15 beer scout.

Thanks for the opportunity

My favorite would have to be my 77 Northfield Medium Barlow Clip.

When new:

A bit of Patina:

And this picture was taken last weekend:

Although it is possible for knife addiction to go into remission, there is no known cure despite scientific research and the disease can return suddenly at any time.

My favorite traditional knife is a Case two blade One Arm Razor 1976.

Mine is this old schrade sc506 I got at the flea market last week. Was my 1st traditional. I like the bolsters.

Beautiful prize mate. Very generous of you. I don't have either a Slim Opinel or a Bubinga one... was looking for both.

My favourite traddy is a reasonably cheap one... an Opinel 8 Rosace in Stainless/Boxwood ... I got it as a gift from my wife for my birthday 2 years ago... I only use it ocassionally for opening packages... I couldn't bear losing it.

For the traddy edc fave bonus points, I'll post my Victorinox Midnite Rogue Mod in Silvertech. Never leaving home without it. Using it 2-3 times every day.

My favorite is Case saddlehorn, I bought it lightly used 2-3 months ago but ever since it is the only knife I carry and use. The design is of T. Bose and unlike modern Case knives this one has great F&F, the bone has nice honey color with depth so it somewhat reminds older knives. Blade combination is perfect and the swedges looks real great. This photo took by the guy I bought it from, but still represent the knife nicely

My favorite (you said you wanted to see knives encouraging debt).

J. Order XL Gunstock. It was used to castrate calves in this photo.

The day after. Before I washed it.

Since 50 years i'm a user of the wonderful Opinel knives.
As a teen i used the bigger ones, like No9 & No10.
When i was about 50 years, the No8 was in my pocket.
Now as a grandpa, the Opinel No7 has won the place in my coin pocket.

But the knife i love most of all, is the Carl Schlieper - "German Eye" - Stockman 350, because i bought it on the birthday of my little darling :)

All blades in a compact handle for most of my cutting task.

OK, i love both of them ... but you can imagine, whom i love most?!

Can you please link me to where you bought this?

Is the steel carbon or 12C27?

The blade is 12C27, and it's great. As to where I got it, it was deal done with a man in a rumpled white linen suit in the mens room of the Miami Internatinal airport. :D

No, really, it came from our man in Sardina, Blade forums own Fautso. Otherwise known as the Sardinian Connection. But here on the forums he goes by the name of Quattromori. He's our only contact there to get these great knives. And they are great!

Thank you. It seems to range from $150 (12C27) and $450 (Damascus) for the 10 cm. cutting edges. I will be getting one this week. I wasn't lying when I said that this thread would throw me in debt.

I'll probably be doing this GAW for another week and a half or so.
