That is a nice collection. Really like the one with the blue scales, the 2007 SE and that triple cut. Which one is that in the last pic?

My first but surely not my last AD.

That one is part of the Special Edition 2007 set of 9 blades offered at BLADE east, and in the last Ganzaaaaa (BloodBathaGanzaaaaa). Oops... I see now that ya knew that already... :o LOL ...It's a pic of the SE'07 GW, AD, and Meaner together. :thumbup:

I got a chance to see one of the GWs in person this last weekend. Wow talk about fat!! Absolutely amazing how thick it was. Were all of the 2007s that thick?

Yes, but a few had a slightly different grind...

Here's both of mine, a spine shot...

The one with the, um... 'Penetrator Swedge' also has a very slight recurve to it and a slight thumb depression on the spine :)
 
I like the variant with the "swedge". Was the AD as thick? Do you have any numbers for the thickness?

Using a cheapie ruler... the AD is .17in., the GW is .30in.... both are approximates, but close. :)
 
Thanks for the info. I was hoping the SE AD was a fatty. Still going to get one someday.

They're hard to find, but the really fat AD's are called Off Duty's I hope to own one someday, myself. :D:thumbup:
.25in. ones are Heavy Duty's :D
 
I've heard of the elusive Heavy Duty, even seen pics. Don't think I've seen an Off Duty yet. I'm going to stick with the Milganza and Standard ADs for now. I missed the Blk/Blks but I know one will come along someday. Well it's quiting time. Be back tomorrow.
 
Wow, great line up. I wonder how many of us satin Busse nuts there are out there. As soon as the rest of my SFNO and ASH-1 come in I'll go a satin group photo.

I'm glad that you got the computer fixed and you are back online.

Those custom AD's of yours are great.

The AD is one of my all-time favorites as well. I only have a few but I hope to get more.

I know it was an uphill battle, but hey, here you are! Great post/collection!
 
Well being a guy that reads tax codes alls day I’m a little picky about these things.:o

It is my understanding that ADs are .15, and the one I have is .15.


The 2007 SE Duties are .17

The Duties sold at the Co. Store all run just shy of .20 coated, like .190 to .197

The HD I had for a while was .20 coated

The customs I have are .17 uncoated.

I have never had an Off Duty:grumpy:

So I don’t know what most of these knives sold in 2007 are but they do not seem to be Active Duties, at .190+ coated they are way way closer to Heavy Duties.

So it is kind of like a "Heavy Active Duty" :thumbup:.
