Returning deka

Would you be getting store credit and forced to buy from the same place?

If no, check out Knifeworks exclusive BM Gizzly Ridge for $80. Great knife at a great price. Mine is on the way. S30V is a step down from 20CV but it's $60 less too.

Are you set on getting a BM?

If yes, I find the Boost more comfortable in the hand. If the Deka is kinda small in your hand, not sure a 940 would be better. I'd go bigger. Boost or even the Freek.

If no, I think Cold Steel provides great bang for the buck. The Ultimate Hunter is slightly bigger then the Deka or you could go Recon 1. CS does a decent job with their S35VN. Both would be cheaper then the Deka too.

Thank you .
No im not set on BM; I just kinda liked the reverse tanto blade.
The bear ops is a s30v blade and I really want a premium steel like the deka has.

I'll ask for a replacement or the zt 0357 is really nice too.
That's the other knife im looking at anthonycastorena2014 anthonycastorena2014 .
Same steel a more tactical look.

@razorburn thank you !!
Its not a good grind is it .?
it's bhq so I think they will exchange or replace it.
I haven't had a issue before but they say they guarantee all their blades.

If you're looking at to keep the same steel, size, and cost why don't you try the 0357? I love this knife. TBH if I could only have one I don't know which one I'd pick. They both kick ass and are smaller than 90% of the knives I own.

How's the detent on the zt ??
Does that perform well as a gravity opening knife ?

The actuon is sweet. Its assisted and cannot be de-assisted. Its still smaller than your average folder but a little bit bigger than the deka. You can't go wrong either way here. BHQ is going to take care of you of you want another deka and you can ask them to examine it. I personally love my 0357. It finds its way in my pocket often.

I've just mailed out the knife a few days ago.
I'm waiting a few days to hear back from them.

I'm thinking of getting another hogue or trying out the griptillian in the wharncliff version.

Update buddy? What ended up being the case here man?

Thanks for checking in with me.
They refunded the full price no questions asked.

I lost 24hrs on my last check so I'm holding off on another purchase till I catch up.
I'm thinking of a WE knife.
They have a nice looking m390 but... they are based from China and don't utilize a axis lock.

I'm attracted to the axis lock because it seems; I'm more of a fan of gravity knives than detent.

Makes sense. I just got a Perpetua. Its super fun to fidget and the gravity factor of the axis lock is a lot of fun. The steel on the Perpetua is Nitro-V. I still love my Deka and have started to use it quite a bit. I have several frame locks. ZT and a couple WE (massdrop) knives. I have a We702 integral l. The way. I actually have an entire "Covid Collection" from getting bored and trading. If you're thinking of a frame lock my favorite one I've gotten in a long time is the Massdrop Thresher (WE) it is outrageously smooth and drops shut. I can open it and close it all day and night. Nice usable profile S35vn. I'm a clip point sucker so two clips!?!? Lol check it out man you may like it too. Ill let you know what I think about the WE702. Its like an integral ZT0552 TI which I own and can't wait to compare.I also absolutely love my ZT0357. With more time on your hands comes im sure a ton more options to drive yourself nuts with. Good luck brother!

anthonycastorena2014 anthonycastorena2014 appreciate your insight.
I was looking at the WE practic liner lock.

I'll take a look at the thresher and 702, although spending the money, I was looking at getting 20cv or m390 steel to try out.

You're sure right on driving myself crazy looking at knife options !!
I really like the 0357 I would get that for sure but assisted idt works as a gravity knife.

Very nice looking knife though.
