Returning with new hawks

Yes. Warhammers will be future projects as soon as my lathe is assembled and designs are finalized.

I agree, about spike length. I shorten them when I modify the CS spike hawk. I try to take into account the arc when the hawk is being used an place the point right on that line. The spike is reshaped so that there is less chance of it getting stuck. I do anneal the hardened portions and then reharden when reshaping is completed. So far I have not had any problem with penetration.

I will post a top profile pic for you when I return home (I work and live in different states). The first spike hawk was modified from a C.S. Trail Hawk.
