Reverse Edge Backup

Question for you J - Are those handles secured by only one bolt? If so, how is the durability of that? If not, how did you do it?
 
Well they are not going to used as choppers, its one solid 1/4 dowel pin, and gorilla glue, you can't get them off without destroying the knife
