Hi, I love big folder, thus Sifu is surely in my next buy list. But. . .

1. Consider the finger groove. . .I'm wondering if this would cause any problem in reverse grip?
Anyone's ever had any trouble in reverse grip?

2. I have Benchmade Axis-lock, and I don't like it because I'm not comfortable closing it with one hand. (This's a personal matter, really.)
I'd like to know if this wouls be same for Rekat Rolling Lock? (If it's something similar to Liner Lock, it'd be okay.)

3. Heard that you might have to file the G-10 a bit cause it's eating your hand, could CF help solve this problem?

4. Does the knife easy to open? I mean the thumb stud is not placed too far away?

Anyone could help me out on this would be appreciated.
Any other comments welcome.

Thanks

Santi-

I have had my Sifu for only a little while, but I love it.

1- I have not had a problem with reverse grip. I like finger grooves, many people do not. Do the knives you use now have finger grooves? If not, you will probably have to practice a little to use them well.

2- The button to disengage the lock is up on the side of the knife so that finger does not come into the path of the blade as it closes. But I would suggest that you do not have your other fingers in the finger grooves when you pull on the button. My Sifu is so smooth that if I am holding the knife straight out when I disengage the lock, the blade easily falls down 90 degrees and hangs there. If I were to have my fingers in the grooves and disengaged the blade while it was pointed diagnally up, I'm afraid it might close on my fingers.

3- The G10 is a little rough, but my hands are soft because I work in an office.

4- I do not like the stud on the Sifu. My hands are small and the Sifu is so long that I have to hold the knife at the main pin to use the thumb stud to open it. But my Sifu opens so easily that a very light flick of the wrist ia all that is needed to get the knife open.

The action is the smoothest opening of any of the folders I have. With the big blade, it takes about one half the effort to open it in comparison to my other folders.

All you need is love... a sharp blade and a full clip

I only find the finger grooves on the Sifu to be an asset. They greatly enhance retention while not interfering with grip changes in the least. The tips of the finger grooves on my knive were a little sharp, so I rounded them off with a file.

As far as I am concerned, the thumb studs on the Sifu work perfectly.
