This is how Spyderco should have made this knife.

Here is another customized Reverse Tanto Drunken. The last one I sold on here didn’t have the Timascus clip. Added an A Purvis clip and anodized screws. Excellent condition. Comes with original Spyderco pouch

$485. A Purvis clip sells for $150 on eBay.

Look at some of my other knives that I have customized - https://www.instagram.com/edc_custom_blades/

Nice work!
what would it cost to have something similar done to a folder?
How is it done (will it not hurt the heat treatment?)
how long do you need the knife for?
after looking at your post, I have a few in mind.
Thank you!

Thank you. I thought about performing work on other knives as a service but I am unsure. There seems to be too much liability with customer satisfaction since they won’t see the product until it’s done and I would hate to do a job and the customer not be happy. That being said, what knives where you thinking of modifying and what would you want done to them? Reshaping the blade is a straight forward process that includes performing a grind and quenching the blade in oil so that it doesn’t overheat and become brittle. Done correctly it actually increases the blades hardness. I try to profit $50 for each knife that I customize. Most of the times I profit more per knife. If I were to do this, I would only need 1-3 days to perform the mod and then ship it back to you.
