A couple of weeks ago Chiro 75 offered to make the first person who responded to a post offering a free Kydex sheath to a owner of Sean Perkins custom and I was the lucky guy to respond first.
The sheath is gray Kydex that is thicker than most Kydex and he used Chicago screws. It can be carried many different ways on your belt and can even be converted for neck carry. The fit is excellent and he even has a tension screw to suit your own tastes. Also, you can remove the belt loop to carry in your pocket if you choose. I wish I had a scanner to post a picture of the sheath as it really looks nice and is built to last just like the Perkins knives. It is a really thought out design and he used the finest materials available. Of all the Kydex sheaths I own his is in a different class than the others. It is a great sheath for a knife. I especially like the fit and the overall workmanship is excellent!!
I liked it so much that I have asked him to make me another one for a Perkins Praecisco l that I'm ordering! If anyone is unfamilar with Sean Perkins knives you need to visit his web-site, he makes very small blades that are very useful everyday knives and man are they "tough"
I want to thank Chiro 75 for making me the sheath (still can't believe I was the first to reply!) I carry the knife & sheath everyday and am extremely pleased. I don't know if Chiro would make the Kydex sheaths for other knives or not, but I can highly recommend his work and he is a nice guy to do business with. Thanks Chiro!!

Glad you liked it, Larry! Just to add a few things...I made this one for Larry for free because I wanted to get the word out that I was interested in making some custom sheaths for Forumites. I have done several for myself, but this is the first one I've done for anyone else. I took some pics, unfortunately in black and white, and I have a few p9ctures of another sheath, too, all of which I need to get on my webpage.
As Larry mentioned, I am quite interested in making sheaths for a little bit of side money, and besides, I love doing it from a design/service point of view. Basically Larry wanted a bombproof, versatile sheath, and that's exactly what he got! I came up with 13 different modes of belt carry before giving up, as well as pocket and neck carry. The main feature that I think is unique to my sheaths is the fact that this one has an adjustable screw that actually changes the tension on the draw from very light to super tight and everything in between. Pretty cool, I think!
Anyway, I know Kydex is a popular material for a lot of people right now, and I am more than willing to offer good prices and fast turnaround, as well as custom options, so if you are interested please get in touch with me. I don't know if Larry mentioned it, but another plus was that he was only without his knife for about five days. He sent it to me Priority Mail and I had the sheath finished and back in Priority Mail the morning after I received the knife. He got it two days later. Not bad, considering what some of the bigger companies are wanting. Anyway, get ahold of me, and as of right now, the only sample of my work, which is embarrassing, is on display at my webpage (see below). Take note that it was my first sheath, and knife kit, ever, so don't use that as a judge for my current work! I should have better pics of more current sheaths up in a couple weeks, and if it means anything to you, I 100% guarantee you will like my sheaths or I will either keep trying at no cost or refund your money.
Can't lose that way! Worst part about it is being away from the knife for a few days, although considering the number of knives most BF'ers have, I wouldn't think this to be too big a problem! ;-) I am willing to make for any size knife, folder, pager, whatever! Just email me and we can discuss it. Also email Larry to get his side of the story, as I'm sure he wouldn't mind. Thanks!
Steve

Hey, guys! I've gotten a pretty strong reply from a number of potential customers, so I took the liberty to put an FAQ/General Info page on my webpage. It may help you decide if you want to have me make sheaths for you. You can find it at the URL below. Thanks!

Sorry to keep posting all this stuff, but I have finally gotten a decent general info page up, with some pics (although of an old sheath that isn't close to my current work) for thos interested in my work. You can see it at the webpage listed in my signature, and I will be updating it with more pics soon (within a week or so). Thanks!
