Asked Il Bruche to make this nessmuk for me a few weeks ago. The turnaround time was quick and the price was great. Believe the steel is 1095. He did a great job on the handle, it is very comfortable in the hand. You can see the swell in the pictures. The blade shape gives you quite a bit of cutting leverage. He did a great job with the osage and the red liner. It came super sharp, and even after batoning a bit with it, a couple of strops and it was back to shaving hair. The blade stood up well to the batoning, even though this blade isn't really made for this. He added a lanyard with a small osage piece that really is handy. Overall I have been very impressed with it. All comments welcome:thumbup:

Halfserrated,

Nice nessie, congatulations! I just boxed up my RD7 and some scale material that I received today for Ilbruche. He is going to rehandle it for me. He seems like a good guy to deal with it, I'm fired up about this RD7 project. I'll post some pics when it is done!

Cool dude. Glad you like it. I never thought anyone would baton with it, but I don't see why not.

Here's another pic.

He does great work. He is working on another knife for me currently and I am getting another nessmuk from him in a couple weeks.

I also just sent him my Becker Campanion for some of his special touches. He is talented.

RW, the pics of his Becker Campanion that he did look great.

Snow-The curve is pretty nice. I think that's why I like it so much.

He will make one with handles of your choice, as long as he can get the wood, for a reasonable price.
Thanks for the comments!

hi guys,

What is the purpose of a nessmuk? I have seen them but never handled one. Are they made for some particular task?

Thanks and that's a beautiful knife!!

Brett

thanks guys,
Brett

Rockywolf,

Make sure to post a pic, I'll do the same. It was that BK2 in the Becker thread that got me.. I was coveting Steelwhore's BK7 too, but I don't know if Ilbruche did that one!
