Review Requested for CS Recon 1 Folder (27LCH)

In the FWIW dept, was just looking at SMKW's site. They have the Tanto-bladed Recon 1s on special for $50. Don't know how great a knife it is, but at less than half their normal price, that's got to be a bargain for some folks.

Bugs

I ordered the tanto point version and received the clip point by mistake. Since I sent it back, I didn't get to actually use it so my impressions are mostly out of the box.
The Recon 1 is a fairly big, thick, heavy knife. It was a little too big for my EDC purposes but it still fit comfortably in my pocket.
The overall finish was not up to the $70 I paid. The biggest hit was that the blade had quite a bit of play when wiggled side to side. This could have probably been corrected by tightening the pivot but I didn't fool with it. The action was also a little gritty feeling. The blade was, per CS reputation, very sharp with nasty looking serrations.
I ended up with a BM710 and am much more satisfied with it (it was, of course quite a bit more $$$).

Thanks

Im picking up a Microtech instead, but will have to break down and try this one some day.
