reviews of the benchmade infidels?

I have the satin version so the blade markings are slightly different... but it looks pretty legit to me. My real deal infidel also does not have that butterfly on the clip, so I wouldn't worry about that. They often change little things over the years the produce knives. I don't see any of the dead give aways for a fake. Infidel font looks correct, all the silver pieces seem to have the right matte kind of finish, button seems to go straight, logos in the right places, grind lines seem pretty crisp. I would have bought it for $100.

As for a review... the whole double edge chisel grind makes it kind of useless for everything I want a knife for. It is however... very cool. All in all though, an ultratech has a better action, less play, offers some more useful single edge blades, and is cheaper.

In the end though... they're both OTFs... and the only real point to them is to look awesome... which the infidel does very well.

Thank you. That means a lot. Its about the coolest thing I've ever held. Not sure why, I have a lot of knives. I have some high end steel. This is just like holding the hot blonde you always wanted to enjoy in school. But, for some reason, in my eyes, I'm hauling down back roads in my old 1980 firebird trans am from high school, clutching that blondes inner thigh...
Damn thing is something powerful. I'm frankly scared for my finances in the knife department from this point on!

Never owned one myself but it sure looks like the real deal, great score for $100. I would send it in to BM for a sharpen, etc and get them to confirm.

I don't own one as I said, but I have handled them several times and looked closely at your pics versus the stock pics and I don't see anything obviously amiss. BM can tell you for sure (of course they will also take it if it's fake) but be prepared to jump through hoops to send it to them and actually get it back if you're not active duty MIL or LEO, you will need to find a dealer who is willing to send it for you and get it back for you...good luck. To be honest, I would just keep it and get it sharpened on your own.

Yea, I'm not mil or leo, from looking myself, and from others, I think it's real. I also don't plan on using it, just keeping it in my collection, I don't think I'll need to sharpen it much. I do have a question though, if only mil and leo can own them, per BM, can't just anyone buy them from bladehq?

That questions has a really long, complex, and very convoluted set of answers some based on fact and others based on opinion. Might save that for the "Knife Laws" section another day.

Got ya! Was just curious, as far as I know, this is a legal knife to have and carry in Georgia...just didn't understand how they can sell out of the leo/mil market if benchmade doesn't. But, I will ask that question over in the laws section!
