When I first heard the Ayoob was coming in I was a tad skeptical. I thought it would look like the MOD version.
Boy was I wrong! The fit and finish is great, along with the design. The blade does not go all the way up into the standard lock back blade configuration. Stops just short.(a la UUK) This makes for a great thrusting knife. Not something you really want to do with a folder. But since you have a slight angle it is safer with this knife as your hand has less of chance of riding up the blade.
The blade has a slight upsweep to it which makes slashing/cutting easy without detracting from the thrust capability.
The smooth grips (Almite?) are the only thing I do not like. A little slippery for my tastes. The handle design is comfortable and ergonomic tho. The pocket clip is changable for lefties as well. Carry is tip down. I would like to see an option for tip up as well.
My boss saw it and played with it, and promptly kept one for himself!
I'm gonna get one for me too!
