Revisiting SAKs

I like the Camper for its extra girth over the Spartan that makes it feel better in my hand.

I like the corkscrew too but lately I’ve been preferring the Hiker. The Phillips (which I never use) being flush with the scales has a smoother feel & makes using the small blade more comfortable.

I've had a Tinker for many years, never really used the Phillips, even though I thought I would. On the few occasions when I need it, I will use the small flathead on on the can opener. I've also had success driving Phillips with my Classic SD as well.

Thats pretty much why I prefer the phillips option too-comfort. That and it does up junction boxes in the roof when you forget your screwdriver :D

If you don't mind four layers, the Explorer has a great inline screwdriver opposite the magnifying glass. Adding a mini screwdriver makes the corkscrew bearable as a thumb rest by filling in the gaps in the corkscrew, but it (the corkscrew) still has a larger diameter than the backside Philips driver and it will never be quite as comfortable.

There’s also the three layer Spartan Lite that pairs the inline Phillips with an LED light. It comes with the mini screwdriver in the corkscrew.
