Revolver vs. Semi-Auto ?? What do Bus'aholics prefer?

Progunner,
I have my eye on a Les Baer stainless model. Your testimonial was just another nail in the coffin! Now how can I slip $1700 past the old lady.....?

marc you really know how to get me going don't you:cool:

wilson presidential
baer
novak
remington rand wwII
glock 36

all 45 (my fav)

with a 45 you don't need expansion:D :D

I'm a semiauto kinda guy. Sig (SigPro in .40) and Glock (27) in my stable. Here's my Glock/Busse combo.

nice combo! i carry a 27 quite a bit too! shoots 165 golden sabers hole in hole. my 45's like 185 sabers and 200 cast hg68's

Anymore it's mostly semi autos for me. In .45 a Wilson CQB or SA Operator. In 9mm an HK P7M13.

Raden, your Glock explosion is not uncommon, esp. in .40. The problem is usually caused by a weakened recoil spring which will allow the pistol to fire while it's not in battery. Change the spring assembly often if you shoot them a lot.

Ron, That G27 and the NO/E are a great pair! Both are big but not too bif, compact but not small, portable yet powerful. They were made for eachother.

I have to admit I have learned alot from this thread. Seems like the semiautos, especially in .45 caliber, are kicking a$$.

This thread has made me want to go out and find both a Les Baer .45 and one of those "mini-Glocks".

Keep those opinions, pics and combos coming !!

raden, i went to a wolffe spring and guide rod, two lbs heavier works fine for me. i change the factory out before i even fire it. 23, 27 and 36 all got heavier right out of the box.

I like semi-auto better,but I currently carry a S&W 296 44spl.Go figure?Raden were you shooting reloads through your glock?

Matteo, if I could perfect the get $1700 past the wife thing I would be sought out for advice and never have to work again.

Idaho, that pic made me drool all over my keybaord. Those are some sweet a$$ 1911's Oh yeah and those Busse's are nice too.:D

I got to get my camera back up and running to get some pics up. My LBC TRS is well worn. I have plenty of holster wear on it and the blueing is well worn around the grip area too. I have been wanting to send it over to Robar for their NP3 treatment. She ain't as pretty as when she was new, but she can still shoot better than I am capable of, but I am getting better.

HDCharlie, novak does good huh? my 1911 never leaves home without me, better than american express!
baer makes some awesome stuff an worth every penny.
now as far as those busse's go, why isn't the old man puttin out any variants? or at least a folder for a fat idaho boy to test out????

jerry??? JERRY!!!

Gotta go with a good .45 auto - either a Colt 1911 or a Glock. Third choice is a Sig Sauer.

HD, I have a Novak Commander and Hi-Power. Novak's do good work!!:)

Idaho, Who did the work on your Remington Rand?? Looks nice!!

Geraldo, The P7M8 is on my next to buy list !! Cool!

Looks like I'm going to have to take some pics of some Busse's and some wheelguns!!! :D

Chip, believe it or not a preacher that lives here in idaho, a master class shooter who quit shooting re-did this old work horse. 20lpi front and back hand checkering, etc. this is the only 45 i own that could be labeled a safe queen. i also have a matching colt ace original all done the same way. ghopher (rat) killin sob.
wheel guns? you may make this the longest running thread in busse history!:D
how about anybody wanting to see some real old wheel guns, any body want to be my huckelberry? :D

Too tough a question, but my all-star lead-sling'in list is:
Ruger SP101 .357/.38 2 1/4"
S&W 686 Plus 4"
Kahr P9
Sig P229 .40/.357 Sig
Rock River Arms Elite Commando

the shooters here call him the "reverand" he teaches in a church and hung up his guns. he has a shop about 15' x 15'. i doubted his work but was recomended by a few of his friend. i had him do it in parkerizing thinking it wouldnt be to hot. when i got it back i about sh!t. it was one of the best i have seen. i spent a couple of weeks hand polishing the slide flats and shot the top with my ol glass beader. sent it to a local guy to have a s&w blue job. i sent the frame to a guy in montana and had it satin chromed. 2 1/2 lb trigger chrisp, bomar sights done the old fashion way. really nice piece. thanks for the compliments:cool:
