RF noise from VFD

Hi all,

A while back I was fortunate enough to buy a KMG from Rob. I am currently using a Teco VFD which turns my 110v single phase into 220v three phase.
My problem is that it creates horrendous RF interference with my shop radio.
Is there any way of filtering this out so that I can listen and grind at the same time?

Thanks,
David

Shielded cable?? That could help. New radio, yours might be a little sensitive. I have a vfd and it runs without any rf interference. You might want to try a different radio before committing to anything.

Try plugging them into different circuits, perhaps the interference is induced into the wiring, not through the air.

and similar, capacitors as filters for the radio power supply.
