  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What an incredible piece!!!!!! Everything about it SCREAMS............... HELL YEAH..........👍👍👍..........
Excellent addition to your magical collection......👌........

What a great thread and excellent workmanship!

You have taken on some very challenging patterns , whittlers, multi blades in many versions etc. and they all look spot on.
One of the first things I look at is the execution of the pulls, both long pull and standard nail nicks. Yours are very clean , sharp , well defined. Not easy to get right.

On the left is an old "Oates" Barlow, from the 18th century, with a "Short Beak" blade and Scratted handles!!View attachment 2602185
At the right is a reprise of that knife, made by Rhidian for my birthday in 2022!!

Thanks again, Rhidian!! I'll always treasure and use this knife!!!
Time flies when you are having fun!! Rhid has certainly made more sophisticated knives, but the nature of this gift, and its reflection of one of my favorite old antiques/ancient knives just might qualify it as my most treasured knife !!!
