Moved from Q&A, so the "selling" part would be done here

I may be able to get a hold of some Rhynowet Red Line wet/dry sandpaper for cheap prices. Right now it seems that I would be able to sell grits 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, and 1200 for about $19 per pack of 50 plus shipping. This comes out to be about $.38 a sheet. Grits 1500, 2000, and 2500 would be $21 per pack of 50 plus shipping, coming out to about $.42 per sheet.

Is there any interest in this? I need at least 100 packs guaranteed to be bought/prepaid before I can buy it, as it's a lot of money that I don't have.

Grit Tally:
150 - 2 (TekSec, Los Angeles)
220 - 10 (TekSec(2), Iron4022(2), Robert Dark, Mark Basford(4), billf)
320 - 6 (clemsonreeder, TekSec, Madness522, Los Angeles, balibalistic, WadeH)
400 - 12 (clemsonreeder, chtudor, Iron4022(3), Murdok72605, Bill DeShivs, WadeH, Mark Basford(2), TekSec(2))
500 - 1 (Los Angeles)
600 - 8 (clemsonreeder, James Terrio, Madness522, Murdok72605, Bill DeShivs, WadeH, Mark Basford, billf)
800 - 6 (clemsonreeder, James Terrio, chtudor, Murdok72605, balibalistic, WadeH)
1000 - 5 (clemsonreeder, James Terrio, TekSec, Madness522, Los Angeles)
1200 - 2 (clemsonreeder,chtudor)
1500 - 4 (clemsonreeder, TekSec, chtudor, billf)
2000 - 3 (clemsonreeder, TekSec, chtudor)
2500 - 1 (clemsonreeder)

Total so far - 58

Mike, just email me or post here when you are ready for payment and what payment options you will accept.

Hi Mike,

Can you explain the merits of this brand and style of abrasive paper to me please? For instance, is it more for metal or wood, or good for both? Also, do you have an idea what the shipping methods and fees would be? I wonder how many packs could stack into a flat rate priority mail box?

I might be interested in 150, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800 & 2500.

(I'll wait to hear back from you, and...I need to check in with Stacy Apelt too. I might be getting some from him from his friend.)

Thanks, Phil

This sandpaper is good both wet and dry, and it contains lubricant so it does not clog very easily. It is used by both wood workers and the automotive industry. It also retains the cutting power for longer than other sandpapers. Here's what supergrit says in their description:
"These won't stain like some black sheets!" This premium, new generation, waterproof 9" x 11" paper has the following advantages: an alternative to black SC sheets, low loading, high cutting power, long life on both wet or dry applications, modified flexible synthetic resins on waterproof anti-slip latex paper. Excellent for both automotive and woodworking.

What I would do for payment options is have Money Orders or PayPal +3%.

I don't know how thick a 50 pack of sandpaper is, but for my estimations I assumed that it is about 1/2" thick. I was thinking that if I used the medium and large flat rate boxes, I could probably fit 7 for $12 and up to 12 for $15. Of course that cost covers insurance too.

P.S. If anyone can tell me the thickness of a 50 pack, it'd be appreciated.

Not to be a dick Mike, but I'm just curious why you want to be a dealer for sandpaper you haven't used???

Don't get me wrong, I love this paper...but this seems like an awfully big undertaking for a guy your age and the circumstances... :)

I have used the general hardware/automotive stores sandpaper, and I was not impressed with how quickly it fell apart. I feel that I can't improve my knives until I have better sandpaper so I needed to find the best quality at the best price. Then by this outcome, I decided that I would be able to sell it all at no loss if I didn't like it.

It was basically just researching this sandpaper for the lowest prices, and I decided the lowest price I can find is what I offered.

I still need about 60 more packs sold before I can place my order. Thanks for everyones help this far.

Mike what was the shipping on this. I can not seem to find where you posted it. Anyway I am thinking of 4, 320, 400, 600, 800.

Just about halfway done!
