Red Line uses Aluminum Oxide up to 1200 grit and uses silicon carbide beyond that, while Plus Line switches to Silicon Carbide at 500 grit.
Both use C weight paper up to 120 grit, and A weight paper above that, but Plus Line switches back to C weight paper at 1500 grit.
Plus Line is rated for all the same tasks as Red Line, but also for "sanding and finishing of wood and wooden surfaces and wood coatings" as well as "sanding and finishing of walls, drywalls and filler". Neither mentions metals.
Thanks for that reply.
In that case, it would behoove one to buy whichever one might find at the lowest cost.
A blind man couldn't tell the difference.
Karl, not knowing which was which name wise ( i had only tried loose sheets and had never seen a Rhynowet sleeve), i made the mistake of buying their silicon carbide paper which, IMO, is inferior to Black Ice and perhaps not even as good as the Klingspor. However, as you know, that red AO stuff is the bomb!!!
