I have a beautiful example of Ricardo Velarde's early work for sale. 8 1/4" over all length. 3 1/2" from tip to guard. Beautiful burl wood handle with red liners. Tapered tang. Seamless guard. Marked R. Velarde and Provo, UT. USA. I also have a note from Ricardo he sent shortly after my purchase in 1997. (The note has a water stain but is still very readable.)
