I had richard j modify the fun chisel grind of the A-100 a little bit. While not a complete scandi due to the edge geometry, it is dang close. I always looked at the A-100 with a loving eye but just wanted to touch up that edge there.
Now with that edge, and a spear point that goes straight down the centerline, she is a true folding bushcrafter!

Single bevel baby! And HAIR SPLITTING SHARP. I swear it cuts molecules even when standing still.

Richard told me about the A100 on saturday and it looks as good as I thought it would!
Now I would really like one:thumbup:;)
 
Like I said in the "best folding bushcraft blade" thread, the A100 is hard to beat. Nice mod on that one. Richard did a fine job:thumbup:

I am planning new scales(hunter orange) and either a beadblasted blade with modded edge geometry or hand rubbed finish...can't decide.

That's super cool, I think Riley would be very interested too. He was looking for a scandi folder a while back.
 
that was a fun project and i'm glad you all like it. my middle and index finger lost some skin in the process with my index finger getting the worst of it. when i was done i tested how sharp it was by holding the blade by the pivot hole above a piece of newspaper. it fell right through the paper like it wasnt even there. the link joe posted is to my website but here is my email address rje196021@gmail.com
 
That is really nice. I am definitely getting the mini A100 when it's available.
 
Wow, nice work! I am currently looking for a pocket scandi and this just might fit the bill. Too bad he doesn't make a waved version - I love my Commander.
 
kage, i have an idea to make the a-100 into a wave folder. when i get the next one in i'll have to see if my idea works. if it does that lucky person will have a free waved a-100
 
Looks really nice. Great job Richard. Just makes all of us wish it came looking like that :D
 
Wow I really want an A-100 but want one even more after seeing the Edge Richard put on it. Great looking blade there.
 
barrabas74, when you get your knife send it to me and i'll fix you up too. would you be interested in having it waved without removing anything from the blade if my idea works?

hollowdweller, i'm thinking about making a few folders. what do you think about a scandi made from 1075 thats around 63-65rc with a ti frame?
