Richard J's Emerson folding Bushcrafter Mod

cool. if they are folders that can be taken apart just send the blade to save on shipping. i can make a half frame to hold a blade if i dont have something already that will work.
 
Richard, are you thinking of modding the thumbdisc to function as a "wave" hook? lol...

i didnt want to have ernie get mad at me for making something he might have available but thats what i was going to do. i'm glad you like what i done to the blade.
 
Since this knife has been around for some time I am going to give this a bump and ask Joe how is it holding up, if he still has it?
 
Holy cow! How did I not see this before!! I've had an A-100 for a couple years now and always though it could easily be made a scandi.

Richard j, did you ever get a chance to try out the wave mod?
 
That one looks pretty good, not my style though. I was thinking more utilitarian, some nice thick, round natural canvas micarta slabs, or maybe a Ti framelock.
 
Yeah, my two favorite Emerson blades are the A100 and CQC-10...I'm really considering having Richard put a better bevel on them.

I to am interested in how well Joe's "improved" A100 is holding up...

i talked with joe and he said its holding up well. he will post more pictures soon. he is learning how to take better pictures.
