Richard Rogers: A couple of new knives

Rob, make that two mods. I have more knives by Richard than any other maker. ;)

Just beautiful. Really like the tipped sleeveboard. First time I have seen red bone on Richard's work and I have a soft spot for Richard's sowbellies. Hum. I wonder where that one went or is going :D. Could it be "the one".

Thank you for posting them Richard. It is a treat to see your knives at someplace other than Blade! Tell Sally hello.

Thats two great looking knives Richard!

I really like the tipped bolsters, and don't think I've seen another custom with them.

Thanks for the pics:thumbup:

A pair of great knives, there Richard.

Why don't you send that sowbelly to me for further inspection? ;)

Really glad to see you displaying your work here with us.

Yep, I'm finally done with it. :D I'll be shipping it out to you tomorrow. Hope you like it.

The sleeveboard is ATS-34. The sowbelly is CPM154. Both have 416 stainless frames with integral bolsters.

I'm trying to get some stuff ready for the Plaza show in October. The next project is pretty fancy. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Take care,

R

I'll be looking forward to it, Richard. Thanks for the preview!:cool:

Big time score Elliott!

Them sowbellies are going to be runnin out of room to roam at your place.

I prefer to think that they're all home on the range. :D

Thanks, Mike. I had the chance to discuss and plan this one at the Blade Show with Richard who was kind enough to give me first right of refusal on a jigged bone sowbelly he had brought to the show.

Nice work Richard - you may want to stick with this knife making stuff, you've got potential... ;)

Sleeveboard with tip bolsters?

That Sowbelly is too sexy for the person it's going to. :p I'd call the cops about "someone" having possession of elephant ivory, but I don't think The Redneck Mountains have a police force. :D If they do, it's more like Barney Fifedom. LMAO

"I reckon' if it's Blues' knife, it's all above board...Leastways that's what Andy always told me...Besides, sowbelly is always good!"

Jeff, As the leader of the local sowbelly militia, Elliott IS the authority in his neck of the woods.

Edited to add: You're going to need to get a group shot of those sows when the latest arrives.

Both are REAL nice! That Sowbelly needs to come to NC !! But not to the Blue Ridge Mtns. It would be nice down in the Piedmont region! lol. Sowbelly looks great!! Thanks for sharing.

Ok so which of you goobers is getting the sleeveboard. (and exactly where do ya live :D)

Back in my college days at Mizzou, we had a "Sow Pageant" on our dorm floor . . . .
I can guarantee that Elliott's lineup will be MUCH better looking than ours was! ;)

Richard,

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your work here. Both knives look spot-on!

I enjoyed the phone conversation this afternoon.

Ken
