Richard Rogers: "Stockman"

It looks as good today as it did yesterday Elliott. The main blade is a great shape and all the blades sit nicely when closed...great knife!!!

Thanks, Tony.

I'm reluctant (at best) to allow my limited skills with the camera to detract from the massive effort required by Richard (and other top makers). It's just not fair to them.
I appreciate your moral support!

Hi Elliot,

Thanks for the nice write-up, you're making me blush. :)

G-10 and carbon fiber aren't traditional handle materials for slipjoints, but they work really well. I especially like the contrast between the black of the G10/CF and the shiny stainless steel.

We always enjoy seeing you and Gus (and various other disreputable characters) at Blade. I'm glad you like the knife. It's the first one of that pattern.

Remember, you promised to use it. I'm expecting a long-term test report in a few months.

Take care,

Richard

Damn, but some of these makers can be demanding! :p

Thanks for the good words, Richard.

Thanks, Jason.

The bad news is...there is no list.

That shouldn't keep you from discussing a knife with Richard. You never know what he may bring to the show. ;)

Congrats on the knife. A beautiful piece of craftsmanship.

Elliot,
Great knife, Richard's knives are so clean and precise, his quality is hard to beat. Just shows you have good taste. I know you'll enjoy that one.

High praise indeed coming from you, Joel. Your knives are amongst the very best I own. Thank you for kind words.

Hey Joel, thanks for the compliment. It means a lot.

I loved that fancy, pearl 4-blade you had. Do you have any pictures of it? You need to show it off. Thanks again for the cookies, I was able to smuggle them on the plane after all. :)

great knife. What is the thickness of the main and pen blades.

Rick, I'll let Richard answer as my digital caliper's battery needs replacement and I don't dare put those sharp steel jaws near the blades anyway! :p

Elliot, you can always put electrical tape on the calipers and zero them :) after you get a new battery of course.

Good idea. I hadn't even thought of doing that. Thanks for waking me the heck up.
