I saw a Richarz in a knife store several years ago and it looked OK. Are they made in Germany or just designed there? I looked at their web site and saw at least 2 mentions of the design but none of manufacture.

I've seen them being refered to by the Singapore newspapers as "branded" silver SAKs, whatever that means...
A Singapore Idol finalist was given one of those by another finalist for Christmas.

As far as I know Richartz is an old German brand, I believe these are made in Solingen Germany. I've seen and handled a couple in stores in Mexico city, they are distributed by Victorinox over here which seems a bit odd to me. Other than the beak type can opener and the handle material, to me they seem and feel very similar to Victorinox, the handles feel better than the Victorinox plastic ones but not better than their alox, over here they cost more than Victorinox.
