Anybody own any of his knives? I saw a recent write up in TK, and thought his stuff looked great. He makes a real nice Bowie, and I was thinking of getting a customized one to use as a survival/camp knife. Any opionions on his work would be great.

I don't own one, but I met Rick at the last CKG Show. He is a great guy and makes great knives. When you pick one up, you don't want to set it down. I'm not really into big knives so I don't have an opinion about his bowies, but his smaller knives have excellent fit and finish and are a nice balanced weight. I don't but alot of knives but I plan on buying one of his models before Christmas.

Hey TK....

I own a couple of Rick's knives..
A Spear Tac with rasised CF scales and a small Necker..Both are beautiful.

I sometimes get the pick of the litter.. That's not easy to do,, because they are Very consistant, and it's hard to pick which one I like better...

I can tell you this,, they are all of Very high quality. Rick takes Great pride and shows much skill in his work as a knifemaker.

He will be one of Canada's most sought after knifemakers in the very near future.

I don't own one yet, but I've admired them for a little while now and I hope to own one or two soon. I believe his work is highly regarded up here, and for good reason.
Have a look at these: http://www.ckg.org/Frigault/Frigault.htm

Thanks guys, I just emailed him. Normark, I think one of your Nite-Ize attachements sheaths would work perfectly for that big Bowie too!

I'll have to add an amen to the high quality of Frigualt's work! At a recent show in NC, I was given one of his small fighters to take back and make on of my Drawpoints for it. Very impressive little knife! Great looks with a great feel. The sheath that came with it was very well done also, it's just that my client had some special speed/concealability needs, and that's one of my areas of expertise.

Some time ago I bought a "Shodan" from Rick and ordered some more of his knives since then. That alone should be a clear indicator how much I like his work. He is a great knifemaker and his designs/his workmanship are outstanding. Think we will hear a lot from Rick in the future.
Regards,
Alex
(Normark, your sheaths are very good too!)

Well, I talked with him, and got my custom order in! Now the dreaded wait until it's done! I will post pics when I get it, I think it will be an excellent knife.

I too, am waiting on a Shodan. Should be arriving next week assuming Canada Post has their act together. Looks like it's going to be an awesome knife. I'll post some pics too when I get it.

BTW Rick Frigault is an excellent maker to deal with.

His website is pretty recent, but I bet once people see the quality stuff he makes, the wait time will triple! I don't mind waiting 4-5 months now, I've waited 3 years for a knife I didn't even like anymore! Love to see your pic when you get yours too.

I have one of Rick's knives and it is an awesome little piece. I highly recommend his knives.
