I have a mint condition Rick Hinderer Firetac framelock folder with smooth titanium handle slabs, a carbon fiber inlay, and a satin finished S30V Hellfire tanto grind blade for sale. The Firetac is Rick's flagship model, and this particular configuration of the model is relatively rare (I've been told that there are only 2 or 3 others out there like it). The Hellfire grind is Rick's version of a multiple grind recurve tanto, and it has a thick tip that is well suited to piercing tasks.
The Firetac listed here has never been carried, used, or resharpened, and its original edge from Rick is sharp. The opening action is very smooth, the lock-up is rock solid, and the blade centering is dead perfect.
***SOLD***
The specs:
Condition: Mint
Blade length: 3 5/8" from tip to handle
Overall length: 8 1/4"
Blade thickness: 5/32" at ricasso
Blade steel: S30V
Blade finish: Handrubbed flats, satin grinds
Edge: Plain
Handle slab material: Titanium, beadblasted, with black carbon fiber inlay
Lock: Titanium frame lock, beadblasted
Backspacer: 3 stand-offs, satin finished
Clip: Reversible between tip-up and tip-down, titanium, beadblasted
For payment on this piece, I strongly prefer USPS money orders, but I will also accept PayPal or personal check if I know you. If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I reserve the right to wait for personal checks to clear before I ship.
I will consider trades (with appropriate cash adjustment) for custom folders and custom balis. I am especially interested in the following makers:
JL Williams
Tim Galyean
Kit Carson
Deryk Munroe
Gerry McGinnis
Jim Burke
Rick Hinderer
Charles Marlowe
Jim Smyth
DB Fraley
Matt Cucchiara
Todd Begg
Bob Lum
Scott Cook
Tom Mayo
Neil Blackwood
Ken Onion
Phil Boguszewski
Flavio Ikoma (balis only)
Mauricio Dobruski (balis only)
I may consider trades for other custom folders not listed above. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives, or fixed blades other than those by Tim Galyean, John Young, Jerry Hossom, or Russ Andrews.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
