I have a Rick Hinderer Gen. II Flame framelock folder with titanium handle slabs, a textured black G-10 inlay, and a satin-finished S30V spearpoint blade for sale. Rick makes some of the toughest and most well-built utility folders around, and the Gen. II Flame is arguably the sturdiest model in his lineup.
The Gen. II Flame listed here has been carried and used lightly, but it doesn't appear to have been resharpened, and its original edge from Rick is sharp. There are some very light handling marks on the handle slabs and a couple of light scratches on the pocket clip. The opening action is very smooth, the lock-up is rock solid, and the blade centering is dead perfect.
***SOLD***
The specs:
Condition: Carried and used lightly
Blade length: 3 5/8" from tip to handle
Overall length: 8 1/4"
Blade thickness: 3/16" at ricasso
Blade steel: S30V
Blade finish: Handrubbed flats, satin grinds
Edge: Plain
Handle slab material: Titanium, beadblasted, with textured Black G-10 inlay on non-lock side
Lock: Titanium frame lock, beadblasted
Backspacer: 2 stand-offs, satin finished
Clip: Reversible between tip-up and tip-down, titanium, beadblasted
For payment on this piece, I strongly prefer USPS money orders, but I will also accept PayPal or personal check if I know you. If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I reserve the right to wait for personal checks to clear before I ship.
I will consider trades (with appropriate cash adjustment) for custom folders and custom balis. I am especially interested in the following makers:
JL Williams
Tim Galyean
Kit Carson
Deryk Munroe
Jim Burke
Rick Hinderer
Charles Marlowe
Jim Smyth
DB Fraley
Matt Cucchiara
Todd Begg
Bob Lum
Tom Mayo
Neil Blackwood
Ken Onion
Phil Boguszewski
Flavio Ikoma (balis only)
Mauricio Dobruski (balis only)
I may consider trades for other custom folders not listed above. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives other than a numbered Strider RC, or fixed blades other than those by Tim Galyean, Tom Krein, John Young, Jerry Hossom, or Russ Andrews.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
