Just got my FireTac that I ordered from Rick last year sometime and it is everything I wanted and purty to boot. He's a real easy guy to deal with and I'll definitely be talking to him again in the future. (I'm just deciding if I want to go bigger or smaller than a FireTac.)

I could be wrong but.... I think Rick was at a great trail festival years ago before the internet even and he helped me out by rehandling a meat cleaver for me. He was definately helpful back then too. If it was indeed the same guy he might remember it. I may just have an early work of his ;)

after looking at his website I don't think it was Rick- maybe a dad or uncle? I remember him as looking a bit older- maybe it is just good vitamins or something, but it was a hinderer
 
I wanna throw in my $.02 worth. Just received my long awaited Firetac 165 from Rick and it was as smooth a deal as it could be. Rick really kept me in the loop about what was going on with it. This man flat out makes a GREAT knife!! :D :D :D
 
I own a custom Firetac from Rick, and can honestly say he is one of the best to deal with. he goes the extra distance to keep his customer's happy. His knife is a precision instrument and will stand the test of time for any knife enthusiast. I would recommend anyone looking to get a great custom at a great price should look to contact Rick Hinderer. Thanks Pete
