Rick Hinderer Knives Picture Thread

3.5 Bead Blast, Deep Swedge, Sterile Spanto.....the blade has a few fine scratches on it so I have a new user!
I'm actually pretty excited about that ......

Wow! Is this South Africa? Beautiful

Ross,
You're killing it buddy! Love the look on this. I'd say that is a great user for you!!! The blue stand offs dress this knife perfectly! I'm impressed Sir.

Ross, use that thing proudly. I think that will look great as it wears from use. I'm really excited to see it's progression. I'd love to use a hollow ground spanto.

Brian....I managed to pick it up for a little more than a new production.....I figure I will never have a better opportunity to use a custom without guilt.....I just don't have the heart to damage a pristine blade.....but this one.....I'm absolutely excited to use it.....and hopefully in a few years it'll look like Jensen's......

I share your sentiments. I also cannot turn my special knives into users but with the Hinderer it is just different. The knife begs me to put it to use (not abuse). No other knife does that for me.

Ross, that user custom of yours is the bees knees bro! That sandblasted scale is the perfect contrast from the satin finish of the blade, and you set it off with the blue standoffs, very nice touch!

And your picture skills are have vastly improved!! Great Job!!

Thanks, guys......I've been using it for a couple days now........it's a very different XM than the production spanto (which I love).....I was actually a little surprised.....I suppose that may be due to the hollow grind and the fact that it is thinner at the edge??? Although it's lightly scratched, that doesn't seem to affect it's ability to cut like a lightsaber.....

Ross, your Hinderer will cut a lightsaber with ease but the lightsaber's beam will bounce off that shiny blade of yours and not leave a mark. No contest.

:-)

Nice EDC nellum! Looks like you have your bases covered... Where's your handgun??

Owning a handgun in SA is ... let's say complicated. One gets to the point where you have to weight up the benefits vs risks involved in owning and carrying and the risks do become substantial. The laws are very one-sided (against the owner in favour of heavily armed criminals). But let us not take this any further.

I knew guns were prominent there.... As far as criminals go... Wasn't sure about the handgun laws.... Funny how the thought process works...

Happy memorial day Herders! Least we ever forget those who have spilled their blood for us. We will never forget.
