Chemdawg and N2k absolutely love both sets. Great US compass like to see the guts, and Chemdawg love those grind lines!

I took open photos while I had it out. Made for WWII by a Swiss Watchmaker relocated to USA. Highly collectible. This one is more rugged than those still in their original boxes, but the stories it could tell...I can only imagine.

I WANT that compass!!! What a jewel. When I was in the military I took several land navigation courses and we used what were called lensatic compasses. Nowadays they probably use GPS, but your compass really speaks to me.

It's very rare for me to post words without a photo in photo threads, take note of this.

Thanks to all who adrmire this compass. I plan to keep it in the family for a long time but it came to me as a gift with an undisclosed history.

As for current navigation tactics and devices, recall the basics? That's still the tried and true, electronics can fail, EE leaves few conveniences, the Universe is your guide.

Thank you guys!

I merely own something cool, didn't create it; but I appreciate the kind words.

And now a photo in the photo thread...

This new lanyard bead is nice but..... I'm having difficulty keeping my pants up.
