Rick Hinderer -- New Pattern In The Works

I got good news yesterday .... Rick is building me two custom knives and the handles using the new Lock Stabilizer he came up with and also he is going to have a new pattern on the Ti frame ..... a 3D effect. He might use that same pattern again if everything goes well with these. As soon as he gets to the point (which should be soon), and sends me a pic of the new pattern, I will post it here.

I seen some of his work, and it really looks great.

Nice choice Mark, but I am not sure which I admire more, Rick or his work. Good example of an excellent maker that does not get much exposure around here.

I picked up a small Rick Hinderer framlock in trade over the weekend and I was very impressed. The handle had a beautiful anodized pattern and the blade was almost mirror finished BG-42. All of this on knife that cost the same as a base model Umfaan! This guy is great knifemaker.

Rick emailed me a preview pic of the new design ...... I can't post it yet per Rick's request, but I can tell you this, it is truly amazing and like nothing I have ever seen before!
