How was the detent on the first gen 5?
I had no idea he was coming out with a Gen 5 (I need to stay in the loop more), I gotta have one! Any other blade shapes available? How is the detent?
Very good!
LOL-I got so excited I sent a reply before going back and reading the entire thread. I'm hoping they keep doing blades in S35VN!Look at Whitty's reply literally right above you lol. I asked him that question, and this is the first run bu as he put it...
It will be out in all bladeshapes eventually, but this is just the first batch of Gen 5's being released. The gen 5 was announced at or right before shot show.

YesYou prefer s35VN over 20CV or M390?
Oh yeah good observation!Looks like the way the lockbar insert is shaped and the cutout on the lockside means that the external stabilizer is going away in favor of one integrated into the lockbar insert. Good move but I feel that that external stabilizer is one of those things that comes to mind when I think of an XM.

Is this true? Is the lockbar stabilizer no longer there? That would make me really sad if they had to fuck up and otherwise product improved iteration of the XM-18.
Huh, really weird seeing that on the inside of the lockbar then, I can't see any reason for that kind of milling above the insert and for the insert is very clearly taller than it needs to be given the height of the lockbar insert. Here’s a photo showing it’s still there..... why would anyone think the stabilizer was going anywhere?
