I was lucky at the Plaza Show and got drawn for a new model from Rick Hinderer. This knife is one of the nicest "tacticals" I've ever owned and I've owned my share. I can't imagine there is tougher knife being made today.

The specs on this are:

Steel: D2
Blade: 4 1/2"
Open length: 9 1/4"
Weight: 7.7 oz.

Another member here got one, too, hope he chimes in with his thoughts. Mine has satin flats with machine finished hollows.

Congrats! Looks like a heck of a knife- any word on when and where they might be available?

Incredibly beautiful, clean design. I bet it's a workhorse.

(When does the production version come out? :p)

Right now there have only been 10 made.

I was in the drawing, busy yapping with Win....and my card number got called, which I didn't hear....Rick raised his voice, and I heard it(he was going to draw the next number)....this was the only knife on the table I was interested in.....

It is a monster.....like a sebbie on steroids....fantastically smooth and feels great in the hand....I think both Rick and myself were blown away that I got drawn, certainly an honor!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

W:eek:W!!! ...That looks awesome, me likey! Great score, both of you... Congrats!
Seems, Mr. Hinderer has another fantastic folder hit in the making! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanxx for the pix.

wow... that looks like an xm-18 without the g10... just what I've been looking for... well, looks like there's a new top of my folder wish-list... any chance of getting closed as well as side view pictures?

Looks plain at first glance, but then everything comes together!
the amazing grind on the blade and the total all metal flowing curves.

Sorry for this, but I had to bring out the true colors of the steel
to really enjoy this knife.....

Great catches Win and Steven!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Fantastic, that's one XM I'd definitely buy.
Just to be picky, I'd like a regular non-spanto grind better ;)

Win,that is a very nice looking folder.Big one too.Does it carry well or does it need a sheath. Is the handle well rounded off without any sharp edges.I know, too many questions:D.
Good get ,hope you and Kohai will soon give a report on the plaza show.

WOW! Awesome !
Sebbie on steroids is a good description.
Congrats to both of you, Win and STeven.:thumbup:
