Rick Lowe - The Leather Bending Magician

Man, pretty work there Rick. I love when Will called this Fiddlebackland. I missed y'all.

Great thread Will! Rick does fantastic work in all of his various pieces. I've had multiple sheaths made by Rick as well as slings. I am currently getting info to him for a lever gun ammo cuff. Above all Rick is a class guy.

Rick makes awesome knife sheaths, but it seems I need to talk to him about a rifle sling before next hunting season. I have an old Marlin model 36-A that I would love to put this style sling on.

Brian you will really like it.

I have no doubts. I love Rick's work and love the look of those slings you have :) . I have been trying to figure out what I might do for a sling for this one. I did not want to drill any holes in it if I could help it.

Hey Brian, my wife ordered me one of Rick's slings for my Henry Lever Action rifle for our Anniversary and I couldn't be happier with it. Like you, I didn't want to drill into the wood on this rifle stock and Rick's design offered a viable solution.

Yeah the one he sent me works perfect. He sent it "in the white" so I could personalize it a little. Still need to work a new strap to match but it carries well. The Big Boy is short but chunky (lots of gravity for his size).

Agreed, Rick is great to deal with and I will add a couple of pics of some of my sheaths from Rick.

That Stubby Muk(?) looks phenomenal and the leather makes it even better! Man I need one of those and some RLO pants!

Rick is a top notch leather craftsman, with great attention to detail. I am amazed each time I hold on of his sheaths!! great post Will!

I spent the weekend on the trail. I carried my trusty O1 Bushfinger in a RLO kydex/leather hybrid sheath. My original thought for that sheath style was something that would "tone down" the "tacticalness" or "pointy objectness" of my knife. I like to hang my blade to the outside of my pack, so I always know where it is and can get to it quickly. This weekend one of the sheeple approached and asked "what in the world do you need that Bowie knife for?". He was referring to a freakin' Bushfinger! A Bushfinger! Imagine what he would have thought about my knife if it was in straight kydex? What would he have thought if I brought my Camp Knife that I almost packed? LOL.... Anyway, great design on the leather/kydex sheeple friendly sheaths Rick!

Another credit to Rick's sheath... my 20 some miles of mountains and the Bushfinger never budged, hanging tip up on the outside of my pack! :)

Will, should have told him you decided to carry it "easy access" because the last time you were attacked by a bear you almost didn't get it out in time......There are some real nimrods out there.

LOL.... Good idea! If one of those "people" came in my office, they would totally freak from all the large knives laying around! What gets me is I would never make a comment about someones knife... how rude! Sheeple are another breed I just can't understand!
