This custom slipjoint is Rick's rendition of Kerry Hampton's " KHnutbuster" ,a take on a sodbuster. Rick tweaked the frame a bit ,it is a full sunk joint with a bit of serpentine flare to it. Also ,half stops were added. A2 hollow ground,hand rubbed finish ,and the blade profile & swedge are a bit different from the original KHnutbuster. There's no telling but this may end up the only one of these . Super smooth action,a 6 pull,it is pinchable but you'll need strong fingers . Vintage cross cut canvas micarta ' oil bath' I do believe he calls it as it was salvaged from the bottom of an oil tank . The color on this one is going to stay where it is ," full patina " .The grind is absolutely fantastic,razor sharp . 3-3/4" closed,blade is 2-7/8" with 2-5/8" of edge ,it opens to 6-5/8" . I'll include a padded storage case ,and USA shipping . This is a great knife for Rick & Kerry fans to own.
