Rick Menefee Knives...

A lot of gorgeous blades there...I really like that gunstock one, and I'm not typically a big fan of the pattern.

Good thread Corey

Here is one Rick made & I believe was sold in the exchange here on BF's
A nice jack

These two are JZambino's,a 3.5" trapper & a "Pup Leg" both in mammoth

The Gunstock is a new model of his I believe. Haven't seen one like it before either. The handle is 4 1/8" and very comfortable in hand. What amazes me is the thinness of the blade from the swedge out to the tip. An incredible slicer. I can see it doing fish fillet duty sometime this summer.

You can count on Rick's blades to be a thin hollow grind with excellent geometry & great cutting performance

...on second thought, maybe not so bent:o Maybe Im bent :p...at any rate they're both fine. Lucky you!

Kerry,I think it is in fact a bent Gunstock

I hope this flies,I'd love to show you fella's this Chef Knife Rick made for me
It's 5/32" 154 stainless stock,it is his first & only (to date) flat grind blade
It has a tapered tang & butterscotch paper micarta contoured handle
This is a masterpiece, lifetime heirloom cutlery.

When closing these after the pics, the end of the Clip blade caught the palm(hypothenar eminence actually) of my right hand. fortunately i did not get any blood on the blade and the blade's downward travel stopped just a hair above my 5th flexor tendon.
well what can you say, but: "excellent snap, sharp blade", which is true for all 3 other these fine knives.

I think I remember seeing another 2-Blade Menefee floating around somewhere, but I'll let him weigh in on that. But he made the small wharncliffe out of 1/16 stock and other than a couple from Mr. Halfrich, it's one of the sharpest blades I've ever received from a knifemaker (except the main blade on the dogleg is even sharper)

I'm on Rick's list, but still have another six months or so to go.

Nice ones Campbell

Rick has made a few two bladers now,but I think that is the first Dog Leg 2 blader,I've seen.

I have made one other two blade dogleg it did not have the thinner blades. I have made maybe 15 to 20 two blades. A couple of one spring half whittlers. I have just got the learning curve going in my direction with them. I like the dogleg double's. I think they would make a great tool with both blades.Unlike a lot of two blades it feels nice in your hand when either blade is open.

Those are two nice blades ,together,on one knife,in that dog leg.
Looks really useful.

Rick's curved Jack is a nice pocket-friendly piece.
A curved Jack was considered a step up from a regular Jack, harder to haft correctly.
Semi-sunk joint, and one of my favorite blades, nicely honed.
Simple and great at the same time!

The scratches are on my scanner, and the fingerprint was an extra cost option;) .

My dogleg was always one of my favorites...until seeing the two-blader!
I must have one. ;)
