Rick Menefee Knives...

I liked the way the bone came out on that knife.

Hey Rick, I agree the bone turned out beautiful on this one that's one of the reasons I bought it. The other reasons were I wanted to carry a more traditional knife and I was not sure what I wanted but after doing some research and finding out who the good makers were I did a search on some of them and came across this thread about your knives and that's what sold me on one of your knives then it was just a matter of finding the one I wanted and thats how I came across this one. I do have a question is the bolster and liner one piece of steel it looks like it might be but I can't tell for sure, just kind of curious because if its not you sure fitted it together beautifully. As I stated this will be my new carry knife I have already sold my old carry knife and have had this one in my pocket since I got it a few days ago, of course I do have it in a nice little pouch just to help protect it some but trust me it will be a using knife I don't collect anymore so anything I buy gets carried and used. Thanks Craig

Per-Sev, you did your 'homework' very well. Most of us bought a few custom Traditional style knives before we figured out that Rick Menefee's are 'top of the pile' for cutting ability and mid to lower for price.
If the liner and bolster and cap(if present) are milled from one piece of steel, the construction is called "integral". My most recent Menefee folder, a Yukon Hunter is integral. The one before that, a Western Trapper, is not.
I use a 9x loupe (magnifying glass) to be sure. I cannot see that the liner and bolster are separate pieces with just my eye.

Vince, Rick told me he'll be gone for the next week mule deer hunting starting today.

I have something in the mail from him that's a little special. I'll get it posted upon arrival. :)

I wonder if Rick mailed something "a little special" to his buddy in B.C. ? Unexpected surprises are nice, eh.

Here's a dogleg and a zulu (154CM and D2, respectively) that my wife and I were using to slice our barbecue today.

Remember folks, no business conducted in these threads.

I think it is safe to say that whatever gets posted here is already sold, likely to someone who has been patiently waiting.
Expressions of desire is coveting that which cannot be had, another person's knife(not wife).

Glad to hear we're all on the same page.
Such has not always been the case with some posters.
