Has anyone else notice this problem with the new Fat Green Linen GWs?
I was excited to receive my new Fat Green Linen micarta GW from BSC this afternoon, but I noticed a definite peak or ridge line running perpendicular across the spine about 3 and 1/8 inches back of the point - about where the middle of my thumb normall rests. Neither my tan micarta nor my Black G-10 Fat GWs have this ridge and are smooth the entire length of the spine. In addition, while the penatrator tip is well done, the main edge is easily the dullest of my 8 GWs.
I don't have access to my camera here at work, but if you look at the recent 5:22 pm 22 March thread by breschini420, his 2nd photograph (a spine shot)seems to show a similar peak or ridge on the spine right where the thumb normally rests.
Have any of you encountered a similar flaw? More importantly, do you think it's a serious enough problem to interfer with its use, being located where the center of the thumb pad bears down? Your experiences, thoughts, and suggestions, please.
Thanks,
"Bloody Bill"
